The RWEIT program, in partnership with Wood Buffalo RIN (WBRIN), Startup YYM and Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo Economic Development and Tourism (FMWBEDT) present Intro to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Entrepreneurs, an online workshop series, where we provide attendees with a high-level introduction to key aspects of artificial intelligence (AI).
Who should attend? Women entrepreneurs in HR, manufacturing, marketing, wellness, artists, students, and anyone else who has thought there is definitely a better, more efficient way to do this!
What will attendees learn?
We will cover key concepts, all the essential terms, and ways you might apply or develop AI.
Module 1: Introduction to AI and Data (Tuesday, November 8)
In-session work for the opportunity to apply key concepts to your data
Weekly opportunity to meet with a coach
Optional weekly group working lab session
Module 2: What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)? (Tuesday, November 15)
What’s data got to do with it?
How does this work inside my business or to develop AI?
In-session work for the opportunity to apply key concepts to your data.
Weekly opportunity to meet with a coach
Optional weekly group working lab session
Module 3: AI’s internal applications (Tuesday, November 22)
Internal operational improvements (Ex. Automate processes, develop efficiencies)
AI’s external applications
Development/external validation of new AI. Do you have something you would like to automate using AI?
Start building tests for basic validation.
In-session work for the opportunity to apply key concepts to your data.
Weekly opportunity to meet with a coach

Module 4: We’re Exploring What Next (Tuesday, November 29)
Pathways for AI in Alberta – ecosystem navigation based on your goals
Participants present a simple start on their AI idea to the group.

Meet Your Presenter: Wendy Muise
Wendy Muise has always been an entrepreneur and loves the ability to spend time helping others with their businesses. With a background in tech and innovation start-ups, Wendy has been a part of a team that took a product from an idea to IPO and a $121 million market valuation.
Spending the last ten years focusing on strategic practices in entrepreneurship, Wendy has worked in communities during disaster recovery supporting existing and new entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.
